Lush - Brightside Bubble Bar Review

Considering the recent weather we've been having, I don't know about you but having a nice warm bubble bath is the last thing on my mind!

 Brightside Bubble Bar - Lush - £4.50 - BUY

However, in a bid to still enjoy my evening ritual I decided to find something in my box of lush goodies that would reflect this lovely summery feeling and alas, out came Brightside!

Bubble bars are one of the most convinient ways to add something special to your bath, plus unlike most bottles that seem to last forever, these can be used as much or as little as you want as you get to choose how much you want to crumble under the tap.

Brightside is fruity, light and so so refreshing. Its packed full of Sicilian mandarin, bergamot and tangerine essential oils.

The scent is so strong even when its working its magic in the bath - I used half the bar to create this bath. I wouldnt use the full thing purely because its nice to actually get your moneys worth.

The sister product of this, The Comforter, is complete opposite and perfect for winter but I will be doing a review on that one soon!

The final colour of this is quite a murky shade of orange, which is something ive found quite regularly in Lush bath products, the final colour is never super inviting  but I think using the full product would be a much nicer colour!!

Overall, this is the perfect summer bathtime product, its fresh and gives any bath that added freshness you need this time of year!!

Lush - Ray Of Sunshine Gift Set

Ray Of Sunshine Gift Set - Lush - £14.95 - BUY

This amazing set was actually given to me as a birthday present back in November (These photos arent recent, I have actually used them!)

I was so grateful as the friend who bought it me did a huge favour as I'm usually a strawberry / fruit/sweet kinda girl - so I was actually excited to try a citrus based box!

I've decided to do this little preview of the box now because I think this is so summery and fresh and didnt really fit in well with the New Year blues. Full reviews will follow :)

As Lush gift sets go, I'm always a huge fan of them - I do think they're not always the greatest on money saving ideas but for presents they are perfect and already wrapped up so everyones a winner!!

Here what you'll find inside the box (with links to individual products).....

 Bohemian Soap - £3.10 for 100g - BUY

If theres one thing I seem to crave every summer its anything Lemon related (Lemon Fanta is only amazing abroad am I right?). It is literally packed full of freshness and as you can cearly tell theres even lemon inside it! Personally, I have found this a tad drying on my skin but I'll go more into that on the full review.
Sugar Scrub Body Scrub (sample) - £2.95 for 100g - BUY

I didnt even know that the 50g was a sample so I think this is pretty impressive personally! Although you can clearly read the photo - this is packed full of sugar, grated ginger and fresh fennel perfect for a refreshing body scrub! I'll admit I've not used this yet as I mention in my Soap and Glory post the other day (here) that I'm depressingly lazy with body scrubs in general but the websites amazing reviews has made me want to try this now!

Each Peach Massage Bar (shaped into a face) - £5.75 for 50g - BUY

How adorable is this!! If theres one thing I've fallen in love with in 2014, its massage bars Re: Pulled Muscle - Click Here - they are a complete godsend and so gentle whilst you'll getting out ultimate pain! The peach one is soothing and isnt too overpowering like the previous cinnamon one I talked about.

The Olive Branch Shower Gel - £4.50 for 100g - BUY

As the name suggests this contains olive oil to give that extra bit of life into skin - I love using this when my skin i feeling a bit dry and needs that boost that other products just won't give it! You can use this in your hair too which I'm tempted to try too but I always worry about adding oil into my hair! If you've used this, please let me know your tips + tricks!

So there you go, a simple but jam packed little box from Lush, if you've used any of these products please let me know your thoughts below or have any citrus-esque recommendations as I really want to venture out into new products!

Don't forget you can still enter my 100 Follower giveaway by clicking this link here - its running until the 21st May!

When Soap and Glory becomes a sick addiction.

I will always admit my Soap and Glory collection is ridiculous - it always seems to be the go-to thing people buy me and although I love it, getting through it quickly isnt the easies task. I'd just like to point out this isnt a 'look at what I have' post in fact, I plan on giving this away as gifts to others as alot of these products I wont get round to using but they come in a set so they just end up in my bathroom.  I've also put some of these in my 100 follower giveaway which you can find at the end of this post!

Apologies for the versions you see that arent the current packaging. S+G have had a few revamps and my products have therefore aged abit in terms of the aesthics!!

If theres one thing I love (besides the amazing smell) its the names of these products, theyre memorable and often teamed with some great packaging.

I will try to link to all these products and give a brief description from what I've used.

Foot and Hand Care

Heel Genius Foot Cream - £5.50 - BUY
Hand Food Hand Cream - £5.00 - BUY

It kinda annoys me how much of this stuff I own, I find hand creams amazing but the 125ml is hard for on-the-go application (i do have travel sizes of this) but getting through a full tub is hard work.
The foot cream is also just as good but its rare I can ever be bothered to pamper my feet even though I know I should!! - I am giving away both of these in my giveaway!

Body Spray / Deodrant

Glam-a-Lot Body spray - No longer available as a stand alone product but I found it in this set here
Mist You Madly Body Spray - £6.50 - BUY
Glad Pits Deodrant - No Longer available

The fact 2 of these arent available is pretty annoying, but if I remember the deodrant was really expensive for you, a deodrant! Both the body sprays are so light and sweet - perfect for that everyday spritz.

Travel Mini's

See full size info!

These are perfect for travelling or if you want to use some products quickly (great for reviews). I love minis as they dont take up loads of room and if you hate it, then you dont have to go out and buy the full size!

Face Care

Peaches and Clean Face Wash - £8.00 - BUY
Face Soap Clarity - £8.00 - BUY
Greatest Scrub of All - £9.00 - BUY
The Fab Pore - £10.00 - BUY

Its worth mentioning, these are pretty much alllll the old packaging. The face care range looks a lot more grown up and simple these days, with the scrubs being exfoliators I dont always use the same one so these have lasted me so long!!
The Fab Pore is an amazing face mask and smells really relaxing. Peaches and Clean is my go to daily face wash - but the peach smell isnt great with a hangover (peach schnapps anyone?) - I was ready to review this just as they brought out the new bottle which was pretty annoying.

Bubble Bath

Calm One Calm All Bubble Bath - £6 - BUY

This seems to be something everyone buys me / they put in all their sets! I actually reviewed this here
as it was one product that seemed to last me forever!!!

Body Products

Sugar Crush Body Wash - £6.50 - BUY
Smoothie Star Body Milk - £10.00 - BUY
Foam Call Body Wash - £6.50 - BUY
Clean on Me Body Wash  - £6.00 - BUY

I'll admire besides the bottle of Clean on Me I'm yet to use any of the others so I can't tell you too much about them! I'm really fussy with body wash and like to finish one before I move on and considering how big these are - i'm gonna be here a loooong time.

Body Moisturisers (bottles)

Butter Yourself Moisture Lotion - £10.00 - BUY
Girligo Moisture Spray - £6.50 - BUY

Although I've not used the Butter Yourself yet, I can 100% confirm my love for Girligo, this is the lazy girls body lotion spray! I hate getting out of a bath and applying body butter, so the fact I can spray it on is a complete dream!!

Body Scrubs

Pulp Friction Body Scrub - £8.00 - BUY
The Scrub of your life -  £7.00 - BUY

When it comes to scrubs - I always go into a bath with the best intentions but once I'm in there the thought of exfoliating is just a chore! The scrub of your life is one of my faves though when I do get round to it!

Haircare

Glad Hair Day Shampoo - £5.50 - BUY
Glad Hair Day Conditioner - £5.50 - BUY
Hair Supply - Discontinued

I've done a pretty good job at hiding the fact my S+G shampoo/conditioner are actually on the last little bits. I really did love these, they left my hair super smooth. The Hair Supply is currently in the testing period for my review - but clearly it doesnt matter now its no longer available!

Make Up

Off Your Face Facewipes - £4.50 - BUY
Supercat Eyeliner - £6.00 - BUY
Kickass Concealer - £10.00 - BUY
Thick and Fast Mascara - £10.00 - BUY
Various Sexy Mother Pucker Lipgloss' - £9.00 - BUY
Girl O Whirl Make Up Set -  Not Available

So much nice stuff here! The facewipes were part of a set - I wouldnt normally spend nearly a fiver on some facewipes! My eyeliner is currently been tested everyday. but so far so good!
I've shamefully not touched my concealer yet as my current one seems to be lasting me FOREVER!
Thick and Fast Mascaras have also been great so far - a few smudges but I will pick up on this in a review I'm sure. I've yet to ever like the Mother Pucker glosses but they always give them away in Xmas sets but my love for lipgloss just won't star with these ones.
The set is no longer available as it was an Xmas 2013 set but I did talk about it all those moons ago here

Tubs of Stuff

The Righteous Butter - £10.50 - BUY
Sugar Crush (Old and New) - £8.00 - BUY
Butter Yourself - £10.50 - BUY

This really makes me miss the old Blue bath range that they did when I first discovered S+G and it was so different and cool - this blue one has lasted me far too long I'm sure but I just adore it!!

Various Boxed Lotions

The Firminator (old style) - £12.00 - BUY
Return to Slender (old)- Discontinued
Glow Lotion - £5.50 - BUY

Again these blue boxes always make me so much more excited about S+G, this moreso as it was my holy grail to firm me up abit before I went on holiday 2 years ago!!

Face Care (from a gift set)

Feel Good Factor BB Cream -£12.00 - BUY
Smooch Operator - £5.00 - BUY
Puffy Eye Attack -  £12.50 - BUY

I got these in a face box set in the January sales and shamefully forgot I had it - especially as I've been moaning about how awful my eyes are lately!! You can see that box in this post right here

So there we go! The end at last!
As I said this was never a 'look at my stuff' post, I just wanted to post about Soap and Glory for some time and a run down of what I own / a preview of what to expect reviews about throughout the year/.

Whats your favourite Soap and Glory product?? Is there anything you'd recommend me trying? (I know I know I shouldnt be buying anymore, but I love to here your faves!!!)

Lush - Ickle Baby Bot Bath Bomb Review

Ickle Baby Bot Bath Bomb - Lush - £1.95 - BUY

As far as Lushs extensive range of bath bombs go, this is on the simpler end of the scale. I was given this as a gift, but only just found out its designed for children aged 6 months+ - so in terms of that, this is the cutest idea and why shouldnt a child get to enjoy a fun bath too!

The robot design is adorable and the scent of Lavender isnt too overpowering which I personally love in a bath.

The overall effect isnt too thrilling - a very pale blue - but its still somewhat visible. Mine settled abit towards the end of the bomb which is a shame as I love leaving my bath to run and when I come back its all ready for me.

As always, heres the bomb in full effect....

Overall, I think this is nice for an everyday bath, the £1.95 pricetag is pleasing on the purse and you're still getting that Lush bath experience. I'd personally add some bubble bars or some other goodies to give it that bit of extra something but for what it is its a lovely bath bomb, and I know if I had a baby I'd love to think it had its first Lush bath at 6months old!!

Have you tried this or any of the simpler Lush bomb range?? I'd love to know what you advise!!

100 FOLLOWER GIVEAWAY!!!! - Theres still my giveaway to enter over on my blog here

TreacleMoon - Iced Strawberry Dream Shower Gel Review

Iced Strawberry Dream - TreacleMoon - £2 - Tesco - BUY

When it comes to shower gels, I'm not usually too fussy if I'm honest, I do love a good lux brand every now and then but for me, as long as it smells amazing, I'm pretty happy.

When I saw this on the shelves in my local Tesco, I was pretty much adament I needed it in my bathroom as it was soooo fruity and looked really thick which I love!

This has lasted me well over a year (using on and off of course) but its very much a little goes a long way and for £2, thats pretty good going.

As far as a showergel goes, it does all it needs too whilst leaving you smelling like a sweetie strawberry delight, its one of those 'smells good enough to eat' products!

As you can probably tell, I'm holding onto the last little bit for as long as possible as I read this was a limited edtion somewhere but I've seen it on the Tesco website, so I will without a doubt be going down to pick some more of these up soon!!!!

For a supermarket shelf find, I thought this was a great product, its fruity, does everything you need and the scent is an amazing pick me up for anytime of day!!!

Have you had any amazing cheap and cheerful supermarket finds??

Lush - Big Blue Bath Bomb Review

Thats a lot of B's for one review title. I've been a bit on/off the blog these past few days, much to my annoyance but I've been pretty busy doing a 7 day week at work hasn't been the best for my motivation to do anything other than sleep.

But I'm back now....

Big Blue Bath Bomb - Lush - £3.25 - BUY

If you read my blog you'll know that recently I mentioned this gem of a bath bomb in my Ultimate Bath To Relax Pulled Muscles which you can read about here

This was recommended to me from the girl in Lush as she said it contains sea salt which is great for softening the skin and smelt of sea weed which is really soothing and at the time, it was all I was after in my bath. I pretty much fell in love with the scent as soon as I dropped it in my bath.

- The photos I took seem to make the Seaweed looks disgusting, but I promise you it was lovely -

The bomb turned the bath a bright vibrant blue and it stayed this way throughout the entire running of the bath. I often find the more water in the bath the lighter shade you end up with, but this stayed amazing!!

I'll admit, she mentioned it had Sea weed in it in the store but I was in a huge rush to get back to work and thought 'I'll be fine'....it is filled to the brim with Sea Weed, This kind of weed is packed full of minerals and vitamins inclding Iodine which helps your metalbolism...hows that for a bath!! I think if the scent wasn't so soothing and relaxing I'd of hated this but it was pretty cool effect to the bath and I kinda felt like a mermaid and if theres anything any girl should do in life its feel like a mermaid at least once!!!

The only real downside to this bomb is the seaweed once you've stopped being your own personal lagoon...you need to spend a good 5 minutes getting all the seaweed out of there but other than that, for £3.25 I think this will be a constant re-purchase from me now!!

as always..heres the low down on just what to expect....

Have you tried the Big Blue? Or any other bathbomb you'd recommend as I love an awesome bath!!!?

The Ultimate Bath To Relax Pulled Muscles

So I've been a bit quieter on here the past few days, this is due to my first experience on Friday morning with a pulled muscle.

I was unfortunate enough to pull a neck mucle (whilst stretching of all things) and after feeling it snap - a bit like a rubber band pinging in my neck - I pretty much spent the day in entire agony.
Jamie was reassuring as ever by simply telling me its my bodies way of telling me i'm getting old - wahhh I'm 22!!

If you've ever done this, then you'll know the pain and sheer misery it puts on your day and I'm here to show you the ultimate bath to ease your pain away!!

- I'd just like to clarify: I'm not saying this will beat any kind of doctors pill, I've also taken copious amounts of prescribed painkillers along the way but this bath was the final thing I needed to kick any kind of real pain it was causing.

Full reviews of these products will be coming in the near future so if theres a product you want to know about, comment below and i'll get on with the review sooner!

The Orange Tree Bath Soak
Wiccy Magic Muscles Massage Bar - Lush
Big Blue Bath Bomb - Lush
No7 Body lotion - Boots
Sanctuary Body Souffle - Boots

Step 1)
Once you have quite a nice shallow bath, add your bath salts - these can be any kind of bath salts/crystals but I would recommend looking for any that are specfic for muscle/relaxing properties.

Step 2)
Now hopefully your salts have started to dissolve, add the AMAZING Big Blue BathBomb. This is a complete dream - it contains sea salt and sea weed too which are super relaxing and the scent is so strong it just eases all your senses into a calm bath. The colour of your bath will also turn the most vibrant of blues - this isnt a muscle point, but I think its always nice to be aesthetically pleasing.

Step 3)
By this point you should be in the bath, I personally opted out of bubbles as I think they can just get in the way and I wanted to purely focus on getting the pain away than the appearance of my bath (minus the blue of course)

Step 4)
Let yourself get totally emerged in the bath and make sure the pulled muscle area is warm and as relaxed as you can get it. Then take your Wiccy Magic Muscles Massage bar and this is where you'll truely start to feel the difference. It works better if you have a partner or someone very close to help you here- but fear not, I was home alone so is completely manageable on your own.
This is bursting with cinnamon and Peppermint - I actually hate cinnamon but for the sheer pain I was in, I didnt care at all and oh my god, was this worth the compromise!
It pretty much soothed every ache and pain and as well as giving it a gentle massage alongside it, I was shocked at just how well it worked.
The side with the Aduki beans are perfect for the knots in your muscles you want to ease away, you can pretty much work it out for yourself when you're using it but this will cure that pain after a good 5 min massage.
- As a side note, it can get pretty messy and it does melt quite quick so for the price tag (£6.50) , this might be a slight downfall but it you're looking for something that works then just try to justify spending the cash  that way.

Step 5)
Relax and enjoy the rest of your bath with withever shower gel you have - I chose a No7 one ( i accidentally phoographed my body lotion instead oops) as I think these are really relaxing and smell really classy and soothing.

- Candles / Music / Alcohol / TV Optional -

Step 6)
Once Out and dry apply a soothing body lotion into skin. I sadly couldn find one on my lunch break so I stuck with my Sanctuary Body Lotion - However, the massage bar produces a body lotion-esque feel once dry so you actually are left with a lotion on your targeted area. I wasnt sure if you should rub this off so for review purpose I didnt and it stayed calm all night and didnt start to pain me once - the only downside for me was the scent was very strong as I tried to sleep and got up my nose quite a lot but for fans of cinnamon, youll love this I'm sure!

So there you go, my ultimate muscle relax bath - I had this bath on day 2 and honestly, it was pretty much gone by day 3! I'm now on day 5 and other than when I woke up, I've been completely fine!
Everywhere online kept saying this will last me upto 10days so I think I've done pretty well and if you need a bath to help massage the pain away, then I could not recommend it more!!

- Once again my ode to Lush continues.....

Have you got any pulled muscles tips and tricks to share?? Whats your ultimate bath for relaxation??
Let me know in the comments below incase it happens again!

Soap and Glory - Calm One Calm All Bubble Bath Review

Soap and Glory Calm One Calm All Bubble Bath- £6 for 500ml - BUY

For most people bubble bath is one of those things that no matter how much you try and reduce the amount you own, there will always be at least one bottle lurking around your bathroom.

Being a complete hoarder of Soap and Glory (I have a wicket basket in our bathroom purely for my S+G stuff) I found I have around 3/4 bottles of this stuff!

The bottle is a Soap and Glory classic with its eye catching vintage design in a HUGE bottle - honestly £6 for 500ml for a mid-range brand is pretty brilliant in my opinion.

The scent of this stuff is amazing! The brand has quite a signiture smell which I still cant work out a each product is different yet you can instantly connect it to a an s+g product.
The Calm One Calm All has Lemon, Mallow Extracts and the traditional 'pink' fragrance.
It also includes a body lotion, which explains my curiousity why the gel is pretty thick when you first put it in the bath.
Its super soothing and well and  truly succeeds in its 'stress-battling' claims.

It also creates super big bubbles - so whats not too love? ;)

Have you tried this bubble bath or any of the Soap and Glory Bath range you could make me try out next??

Mothers Day Ideas from Lush

A few weeks I posted all about how I fell in love with the latest range on offer at Lush. I focused on the Easter range - post here -  and told you guys I'd be back with the Mothers day range closer to the time.

Well its your last full weekend until the big day (you could go out next Saturday but thats pushing it) so I'm here to tell you my top picks for mums across the UK.

Annoyingly-ish for me, my mum doesnt care about these occasions and her birthday actually falls next Wednesday, 4 days before so I've already bought her a lovely gift for that instead. She actually just wants a H&M voucher so thats on my to-buy list for this weekend!

However, if she was your average mum I would treat her to these amazing gift ideas..

1) Madame Butterfly Reuseable Bubble Bar - £5.25 - BUY
This is scented with the same ingredients as Rose Jam so if you were a fan of that, then you'll this!
I always think 5.25 is pretty expensive for a bath item but as its reuseable I think they justify themselves with the pricetag.

2) Secret Garden Bath Bomb - £2.95 - BUY
This is the one I've got my eye on. The secret garden is a bomb that contains a variety of flower buds for the most floral bathtime! Its really pretty and I think as a little shopping trip add-on its ideal for less than £3

3) Mumkin Bubble Bar - £2.95 - BUY
The next step on from the Halloween range of the orange Pumpkin and the Mumkin is a lovely pink shade thats infused with the scent of raspberries! I tried the Pumpkin last year and found it crumbled into the bath quite strangely leaving some lumps behind, but if i'm honest, the raspberry scent is making me want to buy this!!

4)Inhale Exhale BathBomb - £3.25 - BUY
Probably one of the most talked about Bathbombs in the range at the moment, the InhaleExhale bomb fizzes at different speeds to give you a relaxing and prolonged bath.

5)The Mum Reuseable Bubble Bar - £3.25 - BUY
Essentially just the same as Madame Butterfly but I couldnt not include this one, Its packed with the 'Honey I Washed The Kids' sweet caramel ingredients so its bound to be great!

6)Mum Gift Tin - £28.95 - BUY
They've been very clever in producing a whole load of gift sets this year but this just happens to be the queen of them all (and of course the most expensive). In this tin your mum will receive:
A Mumkin, An InhaleExhale Bomb, A The Mum Bubble Bar, a tub of Dream Cream, a sample of Gorgeous moisturiser and a Rose bubble bar.

Those are my top picks but I was honestly spoilt for choice with this lot!
You can few the full Mothers Day range here.

What are you doing for Mothers Day this year??

T'was A Lush Filled Valentines!

As I mentioned yesterday, I'm going to push Valentines related posts to today. The boyfriend did good when it came to gifts this year (saying that, he did last year, he took me to see Jersey Boys in London!). However, we both set ourselves a £30 budget this year due to us having real life things we need money for nowadays as we're saving for a house and nice things in life.

This doesn't mean he wasn't completely amazing when it came to buying for me! He already suggested Lush as I'm sure you can guess by now, I'm a fan!

 Lush Goodies!!!!

Firstly, I received the beautiful gift box (doesnt include the heart bathbomb):

Hello Gorgeous Gift Box - £21.75 - BUY
Safe to say, the boys done good with this one. I didn't actually ask for any of the Valentines gift sets as I didn't personally think they were too cracking this year but this one is just perfect. He actually told me he wanted to get me something different as we tend to just live off the bathbombs in our house.
So here is what the set has to offer...

Vanilla Dee-Lite Body Lotion (100g) - £12.50 for 250g - BUY

They have filled this to the brim which instantly makes me love it! I'm yet to try any of their body lotions but I can't wait to give it a go. I tested a small patch on my hand and the scent is so strong that I'm hoping it'll linger on my skin all day.

Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub - £8.25 - BUY

I've heard amazing things from this scrub and Lush even recommend using it on your hair aswell as your body! Although I'm always quite sceptical about using scrubs and oherwise what i'd use to exfoliate with on my hair, I  will give it a try even if its just an excuse to get this fresh fragrance on my hair!!

Think Pink Bath Bomb - £2.50 - BUY

This is usually my go-to bathbomb. Its fresh, fruity and turns the bath a lovely shade of pink . I've received in a few gift sets before and for a usual price of £2.50, you can see why Lush put it in as a simple filler item but it does not dissapoint. I'll probably do a review on it this time around as I'm usually too eager and use this bomb straight away.

Gorgeous Facial Moisturiser (10g) - £39.50 for 45g - BUY

Now in terms of facial mosturiser, I love a great combination of ingredients and don't mind spending a tad more if its going to work as afterall, its my skin and face at the end of the day. However, and its a big however, I can't help that a) 10g is a very small trial size pot and b) nearly £40 for the full size is ridiculous! Especially when you consider you only get 45g in the full size. This teeny tiny pot is 10g!
I'm expecting this to be out of this world in terms of impressing me to buy the full size - which as you know from my standard Sample Ramble , I use this as a big decision maker. The scent seems very fresh so far and the teeny bit i put on my hand rubbed in with no issues but I shall soon see!

The Comforter Bubble Bar - £4.50 - BUY

This to me is the kinda product which sells Lush! Its fruity and oozes the 'use me now' factor! I'm guessing the name is partly based on its blackcurrant scent which who can deny, a warm ribeana cures everything! I'm excited to use this as its great to have a product which isn't money down the drain (literally) in one bath!

The Love Locket Bath Bomb - £6.95 - BUY

If you've been one of the lovely lot that's been reading my blog, you'll know I put this in my January Lusts post and I expressed how much I wanted this! The only downside for me was the price so its always nice when you're not the one paying! I'm actually saving this for a few weeks before I go on holiday for a relaxing bath so the review will be very much belated but I think I need to make the most of a £7 bathbomb!
Also just for the record, after going into the store to delve into the Valentines range, I actually wasnt so keen on any of it minus this bomb. I found a lot of quite sickly and boring this year so glad he knew i'd love this one!!!

Overall, I've had an amazing Valentines and been treated to Lush treats galore!!
Did you get anything for Valentines or did you treat yourself to anything special??

xXx
