Glossybox #3 - Third and Final Box

so just a tad late with this box, but never the less here it is..

The July edition of my Glossybox and my final box of my 3month subscription.
Being July, not much happens here in the UK, schools break up and Prince George has his birthday - but its all about the Americans on the 4th with their celebrations of independance day!
I'll admit, when I heard it was USA themed - I was hoping for something in the likes of Sephora or Limecrime but beggers can't be choosers and I was pretty happy with what I got so let me talk you through it...

Firstly, how pretty is that packaging! I like the glossybox boxes but this design is so so pretty!

On first impression - although this is the standard glossybox style - Ive been lucky to have good boxes so far so this looks pretty bare and kind of small but once I delved into the items, I realised all the products are pretty long lasing.

Dr Bronners Magic Soaps - £3.99 for 140ml - BUY
I'm personally not a fan of lavender (and we have so many soaps in our house) so I might give this as a gift to someone but the fact that its made organically and 'properly' makes me happy to have this - and i'll admit although not my favourite scent , it did make my box smell pretty

Nicka K New York Eyeshadow Primer - £4.99 (full size) - BUY
eeee The kind of gift I love! Eyeshadow primer is such a key item for me as I suffer from really oily eyes (didnt even know that was a thing for ages) so the fact that this will not only keep my shadow in place but its also oil free - I cant wait to review this but I'm still using my benefit one at the moment.

Bella Pierre Lipstick in Ruby - £20 (full size) - BUY
Again, another great item to find in here - I have a weird love for lipstick that I love everything about it but im 99% sure it doesnt suit me. Red has always been my go to shade, although I have tried to venture out recently, but the shape of this looks like it'll glide right on lips and i'm sorry but at £20 normally, i'm expecting this to be amazing - its more than MAC for crying out loud!

Carmex Lip Balm - £1.79 (full size) - BUY
Carmex will always remind of High School and that one friend that always has it or some form of lip balm. From what I remember Carmex really tingles lips so I'll keep it as you can't go wrong but I think its a bit of a filler product.

Color Club Nail Laquer - GlossySeal - $8 for 15ml - BUY
I'm never going to  complain about a nail varnish now am i? I seem to love building my collection, Plus this is one of the few that I can't seem to get hold of in the actual UK, so is very fitting with the box!

Overall, I'm really happy with this box - I'll be publishing a post about all 3 next week as a bit of a roundup of Glossybox but this is a great little themed box and for only £10, you can't go wrong!

Did you recieve one of these? let me know what you got in the comments below :)

ALSO, I need to know which box to start next - if you have any ideas throw them my way as I can't wait to delve into a new brand!

Lush - Brightside Bubble Bar Review

Considering the recent weather we've been having, I don't know about you but having a nice warm bubble bath is the last thing on my mind!

 Brightside Bubble Bar - Lush - £4.50 - BUY

However, in a bid to still enjoy my evening ritual I decided to find something in my box of lush goodies that would reflect this lovely summery feeling and alas, out came Brightside!

Bubble bars are one of the most convinient ways to add something special to your bath, plus unlike most bottles that seem to last forever, these can be used as much or as little as you want as you get to choose how much you want to crumble under the tap.

Brightside is fruity, light and so so refreshing. Its packed full of Sicilian mandarin, bergamot and tangerine essential oils.

The scent is so strong even when its working its magic in the bath - I used half the bar to create this bath. I wouldnt use the full thing purely because its nice to actually get your moneys worth.

The sister product of this, The Comforter, is complete opposite and perfect for winter but I will be doing a review on that one soon!

The final colour of this is quite a murky shade of orange, which is something ive found quite regularly in Lush bath products, the final colour is never super inviting  but I think using the full product would be a much nicer colour!!

Overall, this is the perfect summer bathtime product, its fresh and gives any bath that added freshness you need this time of year!!

Sainsburys Summer Home Haul

Since moving into my own house with the better half, I seem to go crazy for all things home-wise. I had my eyes on the summer range in Sainsburys for a few weeks but knowing I couldnt justify it I held off and last week I saw they had all gone into the sale! so these are a few bits I got my hands on...

Serving Tray -  Was £2 Now 50p
I've been after a 'middle of the table' tray for ages for when we have our friends over and I couldnt resist this, the pattern is so cute too!

Small Tumblers - Was £2 Now 50p Each
These are the nicest colours, the orange one is a more coral shade which has to be one of my favourite shades at the moment, plus we seem to do through cups like crazy!

Dip Bowls - Was£1.50 Now 38p
Being a huge humous / Gucamole / Dip fan I couldnt say no to these for less than 40p! Plus again, I love this coral shade!
Ice Cream Bowls - Was £5 Now £1.25
How adorable are these - This were actually a decision because me and Jamie are terrible for eating out of the ice cream tub so hoping we'll cut down on portion size, we went for these and after using them, ice cream is so much funner with them!

These are all still available as far as I know along with so so many more things (i did well to hold back) so I'm sure you can check out the range in your local store!!

Stevie Does Slimming World #1

Wow, I never thought I'd be posting this, and to be honest, I'm completely terrified about pressing publish on this post.

I've been away from the blog for a while which I think I said before because i've been trying to concentrate on me for a while. For as long as I can remember I've always felt the bigger one around friends. Granted I'm only 5foot1 so this doesnt help but I cant remember a time when I ever felt thin even when I fitted into size 10 clothing, I was always feeling bigger.

Then 2 years ago I got into a relationship, after loosing almost a stone for my holiday to Kavos, and as with most relationships, I got comfortable and the weight crept on and now 2 years and 2 stones later, I've decided to make an active effort to rid this once and for all!!

One of the main things why I'm so terrified about showing this off to the world is the opinion of others, mostly because I'm choosing a weight loss plan to take. Now I know eating less and being active is key but I need that push, that pressure of being weighted to make me succeed this time round because I'm a quitter and I refuse to give up this time!

Technically this is my second week on Slimming world (its taken me a while to decide to write this or not) and so far I've lost 1.5pounds. Not much but I've not really changed my eating habits too much sadly!

Each week I'm going to post a bit of an update, nothing important as such but just an update on my progress and posts about weight loss things. Im not going to post receipes or anything like that as
this is still my fashion/beauty blog but there you go..

Its out there now, I'm going to lose some weight and hopefully get to my current target of 9andhalf stone!

Until next week......
