T'was A Lush Filled Valentines!

As I mentioned yesterday, I'm going to push Valentines related posts to today. The boyfriend did good when it came to gifts this year (saying that, he did last year, he took me to see Jersey Boys in London!). However, we both set ourselves a £30 budget this year due to us having real life things we need money for nowadays as we're saving for a house and nice things in life.

This doesn't mean he wasn't completely amazing when it came to buying for me! He already suggested Lush as I'm sure you can guess by now, I'm a fan!

 Lush Goodies!!!!

Firstly, I received the beautiful gift box (doesnt include the heart bathbomb):

Hello Gorgeous Gift Box - £21.75 - BUY
Safe to say, the boys done good with this one. I didn't actually ask for any of the Valentines gift sets as I didn't personally think they were too cracking this year but this one is just perfect. He actually told me he wanted to get me something different as we tend to just live off the bathbombs in our house.
So here is what the set has to offer...

Vanilla Dee-Lite Body Lotion (100g) - £12.50 for 250g - BUY

They have filled this to the brim which instantly makes me love it! I'm yet to try any of their body lotions but I can't wait to give it a go. I tested a small patch on my hand and the scent is so strong that I'm hoping it'll linger on my skin all day.

Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub - £8.25 - BUY

I've heard amazing things from this scrub and Lush even recommend using it on your hair aswell as your body! Although I'm always quite sceptical about using scrubs and oherwise what i'd use to exfoliate with on my hair, I  will give it a try even if its just an excuse to get this fresh fragrance on my hair!!

Think Pink Bath Bomb - £2.50 - BUY

This is usually my go-to bathbomb. Its fresh, fruity and turns the bath a lovely shade of pink . I've received in a few gift sets before and for a usual price of £2.50, you can see why Lush put it in as a simple filler item but it does not dissapoint. I'll probably do a review on it this time around as I'm usually too eager and use this bomb straight away.

Gorgeous Facial Moisturiser (10g) - £39.50 for 45g - BUY

Now in terms of facial mosturiser, I love a great combination of ingredients and don't mind spending a tad more if its going to work as afterall, its my skin and face at the end of the day. However, and its a big however, I can't help that a) 10g is a very small trial size pot and b) nearly £40 for the full size is ridiculous! Especially when you consider you only get 45g in the full size. This teeny tiny pot is 10g!
I'm expecting this to be out of this world in terms of impressing me to buy the full size - which as you know from my standard Sample Ramble , I use this as a big decision maker. The scent seems very fresh so far and the teeny bit i put on my hand rubbed in with no issues but I shall soon see!

The Comforter Bubble Bar - £4.50 - BUY

This to me is the kinda product which sells Lush! Its fruity and oozes the 'use me now' factor! I'm guessing the name is partly based on its blackcurrant scent which who can deny, a warm ribeana cures everything! I'm excited to use this as its great to have a product which isn't money down the drain (literally) in one bath!

The Love Locket Bath Bomb - £6.95 - BUY

If you've been one of the lovely lot that's been reading my blog, you'll know I put this in my January Lusts post and I expressed how much I wanted this! The only downside for me was the price so its always nice when you're not the one paying! I'm actually saving this for a few weeks before I go on holiday for a relaxing bath so the review will be very much belated but I think I need to make the most of a £7 bathbomb!
Also just for the record, after going into the store to delve into the Valentines range, I actually wasnt so keen on any of it minus this bomb. I found a lot of quite sickly and boring this year so glad he knew i'd love this one!!!

Overall, I've had an amazing Valentines and been treated to Lush treats galore!!
Did you get anything for Valentines or did you treat yourself to anything special??

Girl Meets: Statement Necklaces

Every month I'm going to try make an effort to push myself into a fashion piece I've not delved into / I'm adament I think I look silly in.

With the approach of Valentines day coming my way, I decided to opt for a new LBD (coming later this week) but when I tried it on, I felt slightly lacking that bit of something...enter my confidence to try a statement necklace.

I have a ridiculous amount of necklaces but minus one (that i never wear surprise surprise) they are long with one pendant and as I rarely wear just 1 plain colour, Necklaces always look a bit stupid with my outfits so in fairness, a statement piece is just something I don't feel the need for / I don't what actually looks okay.

But now this fear is finally being tackled (and I seem to have fallen in love with every statement necklace I've seen). The ones featured here arent all ones I'd buy personally but I think its good to show a variety because if I had my way you'd just have a page of gold plated necklaces.

1) First up comes this beautiful embelished piece from Topshop for £12.50 - BUY. The colours are great for up and coming SS season and would look so nice for both day and night wear.

2) HOW BEAUTIFUL IS THIS!! I'm not usually a pastel kinda girl but this is so cute. If I could pull off Peter Pan collars I would so put this popping out from under one. I found this on ASOS.com from the brand Johnny Loves Rosie, its quite ridiculous how much I want this in my life. You can view it on the site HERE but at £26 I don't think I can buy it just yet :(

 3) If I havent mentioned this store enough this week, I spotted this gem in New Look today and I am so so tempted to get it. At only £7.99 its an absolute steal and I won't feel as guilty if it doesnt get worn as much as it should! The tribal pattern still gives it enough of an impact without it being too boring. So far (mainly for my bank accounts sake) this may be the necklace of choice. You can see it on the site HERE

4) If theres one shop I always feel abit sorry for, its Miss Selfridge, It never seems to get the high street impact it deserves. Mainly because its Arcadia sister Topshop always steals her limelight when in actual fact they sell pretty much the exact same stuff. I spied this super cute daisy chain necklace - BUY - in their Debenhams concession stand and thought it was adorable. I then saw it in Topshop 5 minutes later. Theres also a matching bracelet for this so it'd make a great add on to a wedding outfit this year!!

5) Given this is a necklace post, I thought Acessorize would be the most obvious place to go. I'm usually a huge fan of what they have to offer and even when I saw they had a 'statement necklace' section, I thought I was asking for trouble but to be honest, I'm a bit dissapointed with what they have on offer. This piece isnt personally for me as I'm not into too much sparkle and at £29, I think unless this is for maybe a prom dress, its not worth the hefty price tag. You can always get a better look HERE and check out the others on offer.

6) Shall we just all take a second to forget about everything else I've mentioned and just awe at this beauty! I get its not complete 'statement' but I think a pearl chain with a sparkly orb is bound to get some attention, Its just so pretty and for a Vivienne Westwood piece, £95 isn't a ridiculous price. If you happen to have the money feel free to buy me on HERE.

January Lusts

Its the end of January, you're finally getting paid and after a month of lusting after so many pretty things, its time to treat yourself again! Throughout the month theres loads I want to buy but either can't afford or know I should hold off for a bit,

I'm going to do these monthly posts of a few bits I want to treat myself too throughout the year.

1) Prada Candy Eau de Parfum - Prices start from £30 - BUY

I literally just smelt this whilst on my lunch today and I think its beautiful, its so fruity and girly. Even 5 hours later I can still slightly smell it on me.

2) The Lush Valentines Range - Prices start from £2.95 - BUY

In a few weeks I will be posting all about this range but all I know right now is that I want it all, especially the Massage bar and the Bath Bomb (even though I've heard its pretty boring for the price)... :/

3) Bourjois 1,2,3 Perfect Foundation - £10.99 - BUY

After squeezing the last of my Benefit foundation out and moving onto my substitute of Rimmel. I saw this a few days ago and shamefully tested it on my hand. I found from my quick test it blends it perfectly and the smell of it is to die for. I've since read some reviews mostly positive so I'm planning on making this my next purchase.

4) Vivienne Westwood Watch - £155 -

Since becoming a watch repairer, I won't deny, I;ve become a bit of a snob when it comes to buying nice one and even worth when it comes to realising how much theyre REALLY worth. Your fancy Michael Kors watch could be made for less than £40 (it was such a kick when i found out)

5) The POREfessional Agent Zero Shine - £23.50 - BUY

Since release day I've wanted to get my hands on this. Being a HUGE Porefessional fan, I love that this is a mattifying powder and can't wait to try this out.

6) Nina Ricci La Tentation Eau de Toilette - Prices from £40 - BUY

Being a big Nina Ricci fan already, I was curious to how her new fragrance was going to smell and it does not dissapoint. Its still  got the fruity undertones (obviously with the apple shaped bottle) and full of sweetness. The bottle is a vivd pink with a unique texture to it. This will hopefully be a purchase over the next few months.

Have you tried any of these for yourself? Let me know what you think.
