Vaseline Rosy Lips Review

It doesn't take a genius to know that Vaseline is one of the most trusted, used and in the UK, needed parts in most peoples lives.

This sounds a bit OTT but most people will have used a tub of Vaseline at some point in their lives weather you're a user until you've scraped the last bits of the tub, continuously lost pots or like me, are completely useless at remembering to pack one and then realise you need one so go out and buy yet another to add to the collection.

This happened...again to me quite recently and I was happily suprised when I saw this Vaseline sat on the shelves in my local Poundworld

 Vaseline Rosy Lips - £1 - Poundworld

I thought for a quid, this was perfect and great to try out but oh was I wrong.
As an overall product it was very much vaseline, it did what I neede it to and soothe my lips but the product itself was awful.

I didnt personally like the Rosy effect that it gave to my lips as you apply vaseline wih your finger meaing it then left my finger an awful rosy colour however, the thing that let this down for me was the taste.

I thought I'd give Rose and Almond Oil a try, I didnt think it'd be that bad but it wasnt until I put it on that I remembered how much I hate rose (I'm aware that sounds so so stupid) but rose is such an aquired taste, and I forgot that it wasnt for me.

So much so that I don't actually want to show you what its like on the lips for review purposes as it makes me feel so sickly.

If you're a fan of rose then I guess technically you might really like this but for me, this is just a product thats going to sit in my drawer.

If you have any ideas of any other uses I could get from this then please let me know below??? Have you tried this version of Vaseline?

xXx

  1. I used to love this but if I wasn't in the mood for rose that day then it wouldn't be a success :') I use lip balms that I don't like as eyebrow gel - weird, I know. I'm not sure if that would work for this though because of the rose tint.. I might give it a go if I can find my old tin of it!

    1. Thats a great idea for a clear balm - perhaps with an old mascara wand too. I was thinking about using it as a tiny cheek tint.
