A Somewhat Belated Christmas Stocking

If theres one thing me and my family are good at, its never giving gifts when we should. Especially since I've been moving round the country, we pretty much have to do everything when and where we can (me and Jamie received easter eggs off my mum last week when she visited us on holiday).

This one I actually got given in February and I've been debating about putting it up purely for the fact that its only 3 months late, but with this being a later post for the day I thought what the hell, if no one reads this then all is not lost.

I've had a stocking off my mum and my grandma for as long as I can remember so this one was received off my grandma and we normally fill it with bits that arent the most needed (think: erasers, random toys, a keyring) however, I think I'm pretty impressed with this lot and shes done good. I appreciate all I got btw, but once you move out from home you do start to question items and ask yourself 'what am i going to do with this?' alot!

I'm just going to list bits and pieces to keep it short and sweet.
Nail Varnish Remover
AVON Nail Art Stickers
Underwear (in a Size 6....wishful thinking there grandma)
Cotton Wool / Face Wipes - can't go wrong
A Lush Bubble Bar - RESULT!
Soap from The Body Shop - I did well from there last Christmas See THIS POST for details ;)
A cute skull bracelet and Necklace
Soap and Glory Body Butter
Christmas Tissues as standard
An AVON eye pencil which is bigger than my face!
A Nightmare before Christmas Keyring
Squirt from Finding Nemo Plush - Disney box ticked
Barry M Nail Polish - great surprise
AND
My PUG purse!! This is actually my current purse, I love it so much and it matches the washbag I'm obsessed with - See HERE when I bought it.

I would normally ask what you guys got in your stocking but given it was so long ago....what are your 'stocking standard gifts'???

Belated review of Lushs - The Snowman Bomb Ballistic

So basically this review is 2 months too late but whilst looking for a Lush product toreview, I found this in the packet that I received for Christmas off my parents.

The Snowman Bomb Ballistic is so fitting for the past seasons range, it smells musky with a hint of the classic christmas warmth that lingers in the air.

Snowman Bath Bomb - Link

From first appearance you can totally see the colour and shape they're going for, although this was a gift so I couldnt exactly be picky, I still love my bath bombs from Lush to be in good shape. I think this ones rather messy and I get they can't make them perfect but its not the cutest looking example they had on offer.

I also understand that its clear theres not much colour going on (I mean what do you expect from a snowman) but when it comes to a bathbomb, I think colour is pretty key.
The Video below (which I will do for all my bombs) shows exactly what it does.
- Sorry about the auto-focus constantly, I'm just learning how to use the boyfriends camera.

As you can see, it starts off as a vibrant christmas fire orange, but quickly fades as the red flakes (which stick to your bath) then start to dissolve.
You're actually left with this....

So really, not too impressive.
However, it does make a huge difference to the water, The Snowman is made up of the cocoa butter which is in the Butterball which I mentioned the other day here. I actually said how excited I was to try this as its meant to be super relaxing, I really didnt like the feel of The Snowman cocoa butter on me. It brought a very slipperly and oily effect to my bath which I don't particularly like the feeling on my skin.

Overall, I don't think this was the BathBomb for me even thought I'm a HUGE fan of them normally.

Have you tried any of these bathbombs??

So Much Has Changed...

So theres no denying ive been neglecting this blog for the best part of 5 months but I am back now.

I can't even begin to think about how much has changed since I last wrote on here but I'll give you the main points.

  • I GRADUATED! - I finished Uni with my 2:1 in Music Journalism and had a nice last night out with my university friends
  • I MOVED - My Uni house in Stoke-on-Trent for the past two years was finally cleared and gutted (it was made worse by us having hangovers). We also had some shit with getting back our deposits but after lots of cleaning etc, I was finally on the move back home to Yorkshire.
  • I MOVED...AGAIN - After settling in for the best part of 2 weeks I moved away from my parents to Derby...
  • I GOT A FULL TIME JOB - Granted, its nothing to do with my degree (but how many graduates get that joy instantly) but I now work full time at a Watch Shop where I sell / fix watches. Its not glamourous but its paying the bills.
  • I GOT TO 1YEAR WITH JAMIE - Writing this now, we're actually nearly at a year and a half but I felt its worth a mention
  • I TURNED 22 - I spent the day in Nottingham with Jamie and we saw Micky Flannagan which was a pretty nice way to spent my day.
  • WE HAD CHRISTMAS IN OUR HOME - Granted, we don't own this house (its on the cards for 2014) but its our first home together and due to me having to boxing day we spent the day here which was an amazing day. I'll post my beauty related gifts shortly :)
Theres been lots more thats happened but they're the main pointers, which i'll probably bring up in the coming months.

I've also bought a ridiculous amount of makeup/clothes/skincare items which i need to review on here asap.
